Revisiting my past here at Steem (looking for some old articles that I wrote), I ended up remembering a project that I did that was very interesting and fun (at least for me).
Once a week, I chose at random (by rolling a number on the random.org website) a currency listed in Coinmarketcap, and did a research on it and wrote my impressions about it.
Since I am back to write around here, I decided to restart this project, and every Wednesday I will talk about a different crypto, chosen using the same method: There are 5093 cryptocurrencies listed in Coinmarketcap, then I will choose one of them corresponds to a number drawn between 1-5093 through https://www.random.org/.
It is interesting to note that when I started writing these articles there were "only" 1575 cryptocurrencies listed in Coinmarketcap, that is, 3518 new projects emerged in less than 2 years!
But before choosing a new currency to write about, I would like to revisit the ones I already wrote about, even to quench curiosity if any of the projects are still alive, and what my theoretical result would have been if I had bought any of them.
#1 - DADI - Published on 04/22/2018
DADI, (now rebranded as Edge) was a very interesting project to discover. The main idea was to be a decentralized cloud computing platform, called fog computing, as the goal is for the processing points to be as close as possible to the point of need.

As far as I could see the project is still alive, with weekly updates on the project website

One of the oldest truths in the world is: Sex sells.
The pornography industry generates billions of dollars, so it's not surprising to see that companies in this sector would be interested in entering the new blockchain market.
SPANK is an Ethereum token, idealized to carry out transactions related to the pornographic market, specially tips for Camgirls.

Scam Alert!
This was the first coin drawn that clearly presented itself as a "scamcoin".
Generic website, little information, unknown team, anyway. All possible warnings were in the face that this was a project with the sole objective of scamming to unwary.

Dead and buried. The most recent update on the website was in August 2018, and the last movement record in the block explorer occurred 153 days ago.

Another project with a very interesting concept, of being a digital bank running on a blockchain. A well-structured project, which among the innovative concepts was the possibility of making loans directly to people close to your region.

Apparently, very much alive. An twitter announcement is promising the launch of the platform's beta next February 12th.

Nothing very interesting here. WavesGo was nothing more than a token distributed to anyone who delegated Waves to WavesGo. At least it introduced me to the Waves blockchain, which is one that I find very interesting, mainly because of its decentralized exchange platform.

Ahh the promise to decentralize everything. Bigbom presented a proposal to decentralize the management of the publication of advertisements companies through smart contracts on the Ethereum network.

Hard to say, but I would say more dead than alive. There are still some transactions taking place in the contract of the token, but apparently all related to exchanges.
The situation of the site also does not help much, because when trying to register, you have the option of using Google+, Google's social network that has disappeared for some time.

ASICS-resistant bitcoin (specialized bitcoin mining machines). There is not much to talk about beyond that. Vertcoin has the same structure as Bitcoin, but the algorithm allows it to still be mined through GPUs

Despite the turn around (perhaps even due to it) of the objective of the project, this seems to be the only one of the coins that it has valued in the last 2 years. So, it deserves further research on how this project is today.
Conclusion
It was an interesting experiment, and I will return to do it. Even more interesting was to see how these projects evolved in this downward market.
I will restart this project, for fun and curiosity, and I will add some information in addition to what I had already put on the projects listed above.
This time, in addition to the analysis of what the project is, whenever any of them is interesting and with an apparent growth potential, I will add a technical analysis of the price on Thursday, even to help me evolve this knowledge that I have been developing and studying over the last 4 years.
